KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WALA) - Atlanta Falcons wide receiver and Gulf Coast native Julio Jones got off to an impressive start in the Falcons’ 40–24 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jones caught 6 passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns. The first touchdown came on an 8-yard reception from Matt Ryan in opposition to Chiefs’ defender Jacques Reeves. The second was a 14-yard catch..

Following a close first half, Atlanta pulled away after a missed field goal attempt by Chiefs' place kicker Ryan Succop in the third quarter.

The Falcons offense scored 20 unanswered points to finish the game, obliterating the Chiefs’ secondary which was without four starters, including one Pro Bowl linebacker.

Next, Jones and the Falcons head to the Georgia Dome to face Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.
