SPANISH FORT, Ala. (WALA) - After the National Championship game Thursday night, many Bama fans could hardly wait to get their hands on championship game keepsakes. Friday morning, you could find many of them buying Bama BCS Championship memorabilia.
Bama Fever-Tiger Pride Eastern Shore store manager, James Humbarger, said the line started forming more than an hour before the store opened Friday morning.
"We expected it. Bama fans are crazy, they want their stuff," said Humbarger.
"My husband and son are at the game and they couldn't find any t-shirts and the grandchildren would be very upset if they didn't get shirts, so here's grandmother," said Ann Rowe.
Young fans showed off their Bama shirts while they waited in line.
"If you're born in the state of Alabama, it's your birth right to choose to be for either Alabama, or for Auburn, it's one way or the other. And I'm Roll Tide, and my little boy will always be Roll Tide, huh buddy?" Dustin Franklin said.
Young fans and the young at heart all hope they won't have to wait another 17 years before Bama wins another championship game.
Bama Fever-Tiger Pride at the Eastern Shore Center still has BCS National Championship shirts and other memorabilia. Managers say they will get another shipment Saturday. The store will open at 10:00 Saturday morning.
