RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - North Carolina State wants to bounce back from its first loss of the season by handing South Alabama the first defeat in program history.

After the defense yielded at least 400 yards for the second straight week, the Wolfpack (1-1) are in desperate need of a pick-me-up.

They'll hope to find it Saturday night when they play host to a fledgling group of Jaguars (2-0) that has won all 19 games it has played since starting the program two years ago but has never faced a team from the Bowl Subdivision.

N.C. State coach Tom O'Brien says this will be the Jaguars' Super Bowl, and he's glad his team isn't playing another Atlantic Coast Conference road game this week. That's because the Wolfpack lost at Wake Forest last week.
