What does it take to feed the Bama team?

MIAMI (WALA) - The Alabama Football Team gathered at Fogo De Chao Brazilian Steakhouse , located in the South Beach area of Miami Beach.

The team built up quite an appetite after two days of practice in the ‘Magic City.’

The world-class restaurant served up some of its famous Brazilian meats and authentic side dishes. Chefs prepared enough food to feed each player three to four times over.

“They eat as much as 3 regular guys at the minimum,” said Assnt. GM, Alceu Pressi. “They eat a lot; a lot of meat. They love steak.”

Fogo De Chao is just one of many Latin restaurants and lounges that line the streets Miami Beach, adding to the city's already strong Hispanic and Caribbean makeup.

FOX10 was invited to join in on the fun and watched as waiters carved out 15 different cuts of Brazilian-prepared meats for Bama players. 

The event gave the team one last chance to relax and unwind before kicking into full gear ahead of Monday's big game.

Pressi said its all about the protein, and believes his steaks are the key to winning.

“All the energy from the meats, that’s what’s going to help them,” he said.
