Will Tide dynasty continue?

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Some Alabama players will graduate, and others will enter the NFL draft, but one thing is for sure, as long as Nick Saban and his staff is in charge in Tuscaloosa, the Crimson Tide will be a title contender.

If the 2013 BCS National Championship was Eddie Lacy’s last game with the Tide, what a send-off it was.  Lacy rushed for 140 yards- an average of 7 yards per carry- and two touchdowns, one of which came through the air.

But Lacy headlines a group that might not be back next year, should the one they call 'circle button' enter the NFL draft.  Lacy told FOX10 Sports a few weeks back in Tuscaloosa that he plans to stay for his senior season, but with his stock now higher than ever, you just never know.

“Regardless of what [Lacy] decides to do, we’ll probably still have some pretty decent runners,” head coach Nick Saban said.

Daphne's TJ Yeldon just finished up one of the greatest first seasons of all time by a freshman Bama running back, 13 total touchdowns and more than 1,100 rushing yards.

Amari Cooper is also only a freshman and is arguably already Bama’s primary deep threat.  The national championship game capped a 1000-plus yard season for him.

“It’s a dynasty, no doubt about it,” said defensive lineman Damion Square.

Tide fans will have to say goodbye to Square and fellow lineman Jesse Williams.

But that doesn’t mean the big nose guard thinks a 'three-peat' is impossible.

“The determination and commitment of all the players here, I feel anything Is possible with the coaches we have,” Williams said.

Center Barrett Jones is also a key departure, as is Foley product Robert Lester and linebacker Nico Johnson.

But Bama will do what it always seems to do, never rebuild, only reload.  And with a freshman crop like this, and the third ranked recruiting class accoridng to ESPN, Alabama has its sights set on sweet 16.
