INGREDIENTS: Jalapeno Popper Bites
1 can of crescent roll dough
4 oz cream cheese, cubed
1-2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and thinly sliced
salt
garlic powder
onion powder

STEPS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Open crescent dough can and roll out dough onto a sheet pan.  Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut each rectangle diagonally to make 4 triangles.

Place a cube cream cheese in the middle of each triangle  and sprinkle with desired amount of seasoning. Top with jalapeno slices. Wrap the ends together and pinch to close.  Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.

Variation: Add small slice of cooked bacon with jalapeno and cream cheese before baking.

INGREDIENTS: Cheese Wontons
12oz cream cheese (1 and ½ pkg)
1 to 2 tbl of sugar - depending on taste
2 tbl shallots or green onions, finely minced
1 pkg of small, square wonton shells
1 egg
1 tbl of water
Oil  or cooking spray

STEPS:
Thoroughly combine the first three ingredients. Place a dollop of cream cheese mixture at the center of each wonton square. Beat egg with water to make an egg wash.  Brush egg wash on two sides, fold over to form a triangle. Press gently on the filling to spread it out a little.

Deep fry in oil until golden brown or bake in 400 degree oven for 10-15 minutes. If baking, spray each wonton lightly with a cooking spray before placing it in the oven.
