MOBILE, Ala, - Apple has found itself on the losing end of a Facetime lawsuit. A U.S. court for the Eastern District of Texas has ordered the tech company to pay $368 million dollars in infringement damages to another tech company, Virnet-X.

The court ruled against Apple saying Apple's Facetime videocalling infringes four patents owned by Virnet-X. Apple does have the option to appeal.

Virnet-X previously got a $200 million dollar settlement from Microsoft over similar claims. That $368 million dollars is half of what the company sought to receive from Apple.

Wal-Mart stores will start the Black Friday doorbusters on Thanksgiving at 8pm!

You can get on line at Wal-Mart between 10 and 11pm on Thanksgiving for some pretty nice tech deals, like an Apple iPad 2 with a $75 gift card for $399, or maybe a 32-inch Emerson LCD-TV for $148.

If your budget is under $50, Blu Ray players will be selling for $38.

Windows Live Messenger is coming to an end. Microsoft officially announced that it's retiring the instant messaging service, and migrating those users to Skype.

The numbers for Windows Live Messenger have gone down over the years. Back in 2010, there were about 300 million Live Messenger users. Today, Microsoft says that number is about 100 million.

Microsoft also says Skype currently has about 280 million users, and promises some "special offers later this year" for messenger users making the switch to Skype.

That's your Daily Tech.
