MOBILE, Ala. - Research In Motion, the company that develops Blackberry smartphones and tablets, has announced it will be changing it's name to "BlackBerry".

They also announced the release of a new operating system and two new devices. One is a highly anticipated model with a touch screen keyboard called the ZED 10. The other Q10 phone will have a physical keyboard. Both phones start at $199, depending on your wireless carrier. They're set to launch some time in March.

The company also announced that singer/songwriter, Alicia Keys, is being added to the BlackBerry team as it's Global Creative Director. Alicia's partnership with BlackBerry will have her working very closely with app developers, content creators, retailers, carriers and entertainers.

Good news as well for American Idol fans. The American Idol app has launched for IOS and Android. The app gives fans access to show content and interaction, as well as voting capabilities once the "live" shows begin on March 5th.

This app is intended to give fans the ultimate American Idol experience by letting them join real-time conversations on Facebook & Twitter, and also watch videos and interviews. Even more special features are to be released over the season.

You can get the American Idol app from the Apple app store and Google Play .
