MOBILE, Ala. - Toys-R-Us has been trying really hard to promote it's electronics, and now they're taking that promotion one step further by hopping on the Black Friday bandwagon like Walmart and Target.

Like Wal-mart, Toys-R-Us says it's going to open it's doors at 8pm on Thanksgiving night. That's one hour earlier than last year.

Early shoppers will have over 200 doorbuster deals to look forward to. One of those deals includes gift-cards for Apple products. Toy-R-Us will also be offering free layaway.

Speaking of gift cards, if you happen to receive any this holiday season, there are a few things you should know. According to a survey by Bankrate, gift card users have to be aware of fees associated with using the cards.

General use gift cards are likely to have fees ranging from $2.95 to $6.95, and inactivity fees could cost $3 a month after the first year. Being aware of these fees could help you to not unexpectedly overshoot your limit on the card.

Some cards have to be registered, and not all cards are guaranteed to be replaced if lost or stolen. Just look on the back of your card to see how to protect yourself.

Fox broadcasting wants you to get connected to your favorite fox shows, and they're making it even easier with the launch of a full suite of TV apps called "FOX NOW".

The "FOX NOW" apps are currently available on IOS, Windows 8, and Xbox 360. Viewers using the FOX NOW app can easily keep up with Fox shows, and conversations about the shows. They can even interact with live broadcasts, and connect with their Facebook account.

Apps for Android and Samsung smart TV's will be available later this year.  Full episode streaming is also coming later this year. To read more about the FOX NOW apps suite, go to fox.com/fox now .

That's your Daily Tech.
