This Memorial Day weekend celebrate family, friends, freedom, fun and crawfish! Support downtown Mobile and the Bay Area Food Bank this Sunday, May 27, 2012 from 2pm-7pm by attending the 4th Annual Duel on Dauphin.

Participating venues include Hayley's, Boo Radleys, The Brickyard, Pat's, Hopjacks, The Haberdasher, The Alabama Music Box, O'Dalys and The Bar. Cost is $10 at the door or ten donated non-perishable food items. Wristbands will be available at any of the participating venues so you can start your "crawfish crawl" wherever you choose!

All non-perishable food items will be donated to the Bay Area Food Bank, a local non-profit organization serving 24 counties along the Central Gulf Coast Region, distributing approximately 15 million pounds of food annually.

The Duel on Dauphin is a family-friendly annual crawfish cook-off competition between participating LoDa entertainment venues benefitting the Bay Area Food Bank. The event has grown from two competing venues in 2008, Hayley's and Boo Radleys, to nine venues this year. The long term goals are to continue to generate support for the Bay Area Food Bank while consistently increasing participation and attendance and eventually making this an event that anyone can compete and participate in.

This Sunday, each venue will serve three batches of crawfish at 3pm, 5pm and 7pm. The judging will be held at 5pm by local celebrity judges including Mobile City Councilman William Carroll, 92ZEW's on-air talent Emily Hayes and Fox10's April Douglas. The crawfish will be judged based on flavor, appearance, texture, fixins, spice and originality. Attendees are encouraged to share their opinions with the judges!! Each bar will raffle off prizes hourly with plenty of chances to win. Raffle prizes include gift cards to local restaurants, hair salons, tattoo parlors, bars and more!

So head on downtown, bring the whole family, get some great food and try your luck at winning some of the amazing raffles available this year!!!
