When a child is grieving for a loved one, it is important to let them know they are not alone. That's why Camp Odyssey was created. Camp Odyssey is an overnight camp to help children from ages 6 to 14 deal with their feelings and become empowered to cope with the loss of a loved one.

Camp Odyssey is a two day camp where children can learn to express grief in a healthy, safe environment. The professional staff and trained volunteers include social workers, spiritual care coordinators, nurses, recreational therapists and bereavement specialists.

Campers will be encouraged to not only reflect, but also to laugh and play. The beautiful grounds of Camp Baldwin allow children to heal through nature and a variety of fun activities which include, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, arts and crafts, field games and much more.

The camp will be held September 8 & 9, 2012 at Camp Baldwin in Elberta. Children who meet application criteria may attend at no cost to their families. If you would like more information, or if you would like to register your child for camp, please call or email Lorrey Chapman at 251-621-2500 or LChapman@odsyhealth.com .
