The Dragonfly Emporium was opened in October 2008 in the Highway 181 Mini Storage facility. In January 2009, The 181 Market opened and vendors started arriving. There are 50 vendor shops, a produce stand and a concession stand.

The Producers of the hit TV show “American Pickers” shot a special on on the market, just a week away from the premiere of the episode of “Picked Off”, there will be a premiere party. It will happen on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Old 27 Grill, which is located on Highway 181 in Fairhope. Vendors, customers, and friends, are all invited to go out and watch the premiere.
