Chickasaw Civic Theater Presents "Rent"

"Rent" is a contemporary rock musical based on the retelling of Puccini's opera "La Boheme."

It features a community of impoverished artists and musicians struggling to survive the social issues of the day. "Rent" brings to the forefront the classic themes of life, love and mortality. Rent opened on broadway April 1996 and won a Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for Best Musical.

The show runs Jan. 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 and Feb. 1, 2, 3 .
