Conde Cavaliers Mardi Gras Fishing Rodeo

The Conde Cavaliers Saltwater Fishing Tournament will be held at the Dauphin Island Marina August 11 and 12, 2012. The annual Conde Cavaliers Mardi Gras Fishing Rodeo and second annual junior anglers tournament will start at 5:00am.

Categories in the main rodeo include amberjack, blackfish, bluefish, bonito, croaker, flounder, gafftopsail catfish, ground mullet, grouper, hardhead catfish, jack crevalle, king mackerel, ling, sheepshead, Spanish mackerel, speckled trout, triggerfish, vermilion snapper (beeliner), and white trout. Redfish (slot length between 16 and 26 inches) has also been added this year.

Junior angler tournament categories are croaker, flounder, gafftopsail catfish, ground mullet, hardhead catfish, sheepshead, speckled trout and white trout.

Tickets are available at Souther-N-Bama, Ship & Shore Supplies, Greer’s Food Store in Belle Fontaine, West Marine’s U.S. Highway 90 and Airport Boulevard locations, Quint’s, Dauphin Island Marina, Riverpark Grocery in Fairhope, Triple Tail Lounge and the camp grounds on Dauphin Island, Rusty Razor barbershop, Coastal Pawn, Chevron at Laurendine and Rangeline roads and Jemison’s.

All tickets must be purchased before 6:00am on August 11. Last-minute tickets will be available at Ship & Shore.
