Dance Program at Playhouse in the Park

National award-winning choreographer Matthew Kiel has joined the Playhouse in the Park staff to offer dance classes for everyone ages 3 and up.  Classes include Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Ballroom.

All class sizes will be limited to offer personal attention and growth for each student. The playhouse offers students the chance to perform for thousands of people each year through the regular show season. Students will have the chance to be in showcase performances twice a year. Dance students can also participate in special workshop classes that are taught throughout the year and summer.

Matthew Kiel has a BA in Dance an AA in Music and is certified by the American Ballroom Association. Some highlights of his experience include: 

  • Award winning Choreographer for Six Flags Theme Parks
  • Dancer for the Andy Williams Show and others in Branson, MO
  • Danced for many venues across the US: The Paris Hotel and Casino, The Hilton Hotel and Casino, The Kennedy Center, Opryland Hotel, Gaylord Texan, Six Flags New Jersey, and many others
  • Taught for the #1 Arthur Murray Studio in Los Angeles, CA and the #1 ranked ballroom teacher, Tony Delgado in Las Vegas, NV where he worked with high profile and celebrity clientele
  • In 2006 was ranked in the top 20 Ballroom teachers in the world by Arthur Murray
  • Currently, guest teaches throughout the Southeast at numerous Studios and Theatres.

Registration Fee: $25 per student/ $15.00 for each additional student (non-refundable)
Tuition and Payment: Monthly payments are due on the first class of every month – a $10.00 late charge will be added for all late payments after the 10th of each month.
Semester Payments Discount: 10% off (August-December, January-May)
Full year Payments Discount: 15% off (August-May)
Note: August Tuition will be pro-rated to ½ tuition fees.

Playhouse Dance Company members receive a 15% discount off their monthly class tuition. Extra fees and restriction apply.
