Michelle Kane, Co-Owner and Brewery Visionary
Michele’s experience in the craft beer industry has been on the tasting end. She has visited no less than 15 craft breweries, analyzing and taking notes on things to replicate or avoid with Fairhope Brewing Company. Michele is currently a corporate/contract attorney and has an international finance undergraduate degree from Alabama and a law degree from LSU. After law school, Michele spent five years as a governmental attorney in Alaska. The concept behind the brewery came from Michele, and she finds time in her busy schedule to pour beers behind the bar and keep the taproom spic and span.
Dan Murphy, Brewmaster
Also an Alabama grad, Dan is the head brewer at Fairhope Brewing Company, crafting all their staple beers from his own creative recipes. Dan formerly worked at the Mobile Press-Register as a beer columnist and page designer but has since traded in his cubicle for hops and grains. Much of Dan’s experience was gained as a homebrewer, and he also spent a short time interning with breweries in Huntsville. In addition to brewing and cleaning the tanks, Dan finds time to bartend and give the occasional brewery tour.
