Get your rods and reels ready for the 6th Annual Fishin’ Chix Pink Rubber Boots Ladies Fishing Rodeo!

Fishing festivities begin with a Captain’s Meeting for entrants at 6:30 pm, May 31, at Flounder’s. The actual fishing tournament starts at 6:30 am on June 2, with fish weigh-ins at Flounder’s from noon to 2 pm, followed by an afternoon of fun and sisterhood at the awards ceremony.

Lady anglers of all ages can become involved in a variety of ways. Individuals with a boat can sign up for $200 per person, which includes a Fishin’ Chix annual membership. Members, with their own boat, can register for $150 per person.

No boat?  No experience?  No problem.  This is a unique turnkey adventure for women of all ages and experience levels.  If they don’t have access to their own boat, Fishin’ Chix helps place lady anglers on chartered boats. The entry fee for the whole package is $350 per person, which includes tournament entry, placement on a charter boat with a Captain, instruction, use of all equipment, bait, and a Fishin’ Chix annual membership.

With proceeds benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project, the fishing rodeo will offer prizes and trips valued at over $20,000. Cash and prizes will be awarded for the top three anglers in each fish category, and prizes for Junior anglers. The overall top three anglers will win an exciting 6-day stay in Ketchikan, Alaska to compete in the 2nd Annual Think Pink Rubber Boots Ladies Fishing Rodeo sponsored by Alaska Sportfishing Expeditions.
