The Friends of the Library is a volunteer support group for the Mobile Public Library system.

The Spring Luncheon is one of the group's fund-raising events. Humorist and award-winning, best-selling author Melinda Rainey Thompson will be the guest speaker at the Friends of the Mobile Public Library Spring Luncheon at noon, March 14, 2013 at the Mobile Marriott, 3010 Airport Boulevard. The event is open to the public and costs $45 per person. The reservation deadline is March 7th.
