"KraftyKanines" Arts and Crafts Festival

Friends of the Mobile Dog Park

The Friends of the Mobile Dog Park will host the first annual “KraftyKanines” Arts and Crafts Festival fundraiser from 9:00am until 4:00pm on Saturday October 20, 2012. The fun will happen at the Julien Marx Dog Park in Medal of Honor Park off Hillcrest Road in Mobile.

Get a head-start on your holiday shopping as you browse the tables of more than 30 local artists. While you're there, enjoy the live music and visit the Momma’s Mojo food truck.

If you would like to memorialize a four-legged member of your family, be sure to see a volunteer from the Friends of the Mobile Dog Park and ask about the commemorative bricks. Those volunteers will also be collecting donations to maintain the park in order to keep it in tip top shape for your pets for years to come.

If you are an artist and you're interested in reserving a 10’ x 10’ booth, you can contact Danny Weemes at 251-533-9202. Booths are $25 each and include one table.

Mobile’s first ever off-leash dog park was made possible through a generous contribution from the Julien Marx family and the fundraising efforts of the Friends of the Mobile Dog Park, a non-profit organization dedicated to building and maintaining the dog park. The park is completely self-supporting and has never received funds from the City of Mobile.

Funds for park repairs and maintenance are raised through events like the “KraftyKanines” Arts and Crafts Festival in the fall, and the “Pup Crawl” in the spring.

For more information about the dog park and these events, please visit www.mobiledogpark.org and the Friends of the Mobile Dog Park page on Facebook. You can also call Danny Weemes at 251-533-9202.
