Learn how to save your pet

Pet CPR & Emergency Measures

It is important to know how to save a life in an emergency, for humans and pets. Pet safety classes are growing in popularity and now some are offered in our area.

Knowing how to save your pet is what those with Animal ER of Mobile and the St. Francis Guild want to teach you. Classes are held at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer on certain Saturdays. The classes start at 10 a.m. and last until 2 p.m., and a light lunch is usually served. There is no fee for the class, but registering in advance is required.

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) Barbara Robinson conducts the classes. She has been with Animal ER since 2009. Robinson teaches skills such as what to look for when your pet is ill, what to look for if it has been injured, and also what to do to help your pet until you can get to a vet.

The next Pet CPR & Emergency Measures Class on June 18 is booked to capacity. To be included in the next class, or to be added to the wait list call 251.639.1948.
