A doll, a stuffed animal, a board game, a bicycle, all probably things that most of us had at one time or another during our childhood. But but there are some children who may not ever get to hold a doll or stuffed animal, or play a board game or ride a bicycle because their parents just can't afford to give them those things.
That's why members of the United States Marine Corps Reserve collect new, unwrapped toys and give those toys to less fortunate children in the community for Christmas. QTip and Blondie from 97-5 WABD are helping the Marines make sure every child has something to wake up to Christmas morning, and you can help too.
The Deejays from WABD and members of Marine Corps will be collecting new toys for children fourteen years old and younger through Friday, December 8, 2012. The schedule for the remaining few days is as follows:
Drop off a toy at Walmart in Saraland off Industrial Parkway until 6:00pm Wednesday, December 5.
Drop off a toy at Walmart off Highway 98 in Daphne from 6:00am until 6:00pm Thursday, December 6.
Drop off a toy at Walmart off Schillinger Road in west Mobile from 6:00am until 6:00pm Friday, December 7.
We understand that you have a lot of expenses yourself, especially around the holidays, but even if you can donate one toy, no matter what the price, you will be the reason a child's eyes light up on Christmas morning.
