The Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center of Arts & Education in Ocean Springs is opening doors to teach you about the arts.
The center is hosting an open house for its new School of Art. Classes and workshops will be offered quarterly in everything from pottery to ballroom dancing to yoga and even digital photography.
“The Mary C is proud to be introducing over 60 classes this winter session ranging from visual and performing arts to life and culinary arts,” comments Education Manager, Sheila Thornburg.
“Our classes are geared towards all ages, interests and skill levels.”

Saturday’s open house is a kickoff to the first winter session. You can tour the school and get more information from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m ., January 15.
Live performances showcasing the performing arts side of the curriculum will start at 1 p.m. Performances will include vocal, theatrical, instrumental and dance acts by the instructors teaching during the winter session and some of their students from previous classes.
You can also watch pottery throwing, drawing, painting, and culinary arts demonstrations.
