The National Flight Academy’s “Ambition” leadership team announced a special financial incentive for area students 7th through 12th grade who live or have relatives in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Baldwin and Okaloosa Counties.
The “Ambition Boost” is for groups of 6 or more traveling together for a 5-day overnight, Aviation in Residence adventure aboard Ambition. Ambition is a land-locked, scenically and theatrically designed aircraft carrier with the latest multi-sensory media and simulation technologies. The thrill of flight, aviation missions, critical thinking, and science and technology are delivered through popular gaming styles presented in the largest fleet of simulators outside the Department of Defense.
The 5-day program regularly costs $1250 per student. The Ambition Boost offers a 25% discount or $300 plus reduction per student for groups of 6 or more. “Group” is loosely defined and can be organized civic, social or school groups or simply a group of friends attending Ambition together in the same week. The Boost must be purchased from March 30–April 30, 2012, but can be redeemed throughout the summer.
“The Ambition Boost is a way to say thank you and welcome aboard to the many community members who have supported the launch of Ambition. And mostly, the National Flight Academy wants to invest in a new generation of smart kids and leaders in its own backyard, and the Boost will help make that happen. Send your kid or grandkid to Ambition for a week this summer and we’ll fill them with it,” said Gerry Hoewing, President of the National Flight Academy. There are limited individual slots also available.
For more information about the program, interested parties should go to www.nationalflightacademy.com and click on groups or call 850-458-7836 or 1-877-552-3632 to speak with an Ambition team member. The National Flight Academy and Ambition are located adjacent to the National Naval Aviation Museum on the Naval Air Station in Pensacola and is funded by Museum Foundation private investments.
