Pull out your cowboy hat and boots, because this Friday, November 16, 2012, there will be an "Urban Cowboy Night" fundraiser to help the Azalea City Cat Coalition. The fundraiser will help raise funds to support the organization's Trap-Neuter-Return program.
TNR is an effective, internationally recognized program that reduces, and eventually eliminates, feral cat colonies. Feral cats are trapped, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and returned to their original location. Kittens and adoptable adults are placed into good homes.
Urban Cowboy Night will start at 9:00pm at at O’Daly’s Irish Pub, which is located at 564 Dauphin Street in downtown Mobile. There will be a mechanical bull that you can ride as much as your country heart desires. There is no cover, and there will be plenty of drink specials. The Modern Eldorados will be playing so make sure you're ready to dance!
The Azalea City Cat Coalition was created in 2007 to alleviate the unnecessary suffering of stray and feral cats in Mobile. Organizations such as this one are needed because of the pet overpopulation, which can be alleviated through spay and neuter.
