See and Feed Grizzly Bears in Mobile!

You can see and feed Grizzly Bears in downtown Mobile! It's part of the "Grizzly Experience" at the Gulf Coast Exploreum. The Grizzly Experience show and exhibit takes you up close and personal with three live grizzly bears. Tonk is a seven year-old, 600-pound Grizzly Bear, and he is joined by Yogi and BooBoo, two one-and-a-half-year-old cubs, weighing about 150 pounds each.

You will have the chance to watch Tonk and the Grizzly Bear cubs interacting with their handler, showing you the amazing bond between Grizzly and man. During the daily shows, Tonk will perform many of his natural behaviors, and you will learn about bear safety, and what to do if you encounter a bear in the wild. You will also learn about the bear species living in North America, and the magic of how bears are trained for television and movies.

Tonk, Yogi, and BooBoo will be at the Exploreum until Sunday, January 6, 2013. There will be three daily shows at 10:30a.m., 12:30p.m. ,and 2:30p.m. Grizzly Experience tickets may be purchased in advance at the Exploreum's Box Office. Tickets are $14.50 for adult non-members, $12.50 for youth/senior non-members, and $12.00 for child non-members. Member pricing is $2.50 each for adults, youth, seniors and children.
