Wheelchair Basketball Fundraiser

The Boys and Girls Clubs of South Alabama, located at 6585 Carol Plantation Road in Theodore, is planning a Wheelchair Basketball fundraising event on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 11:30 to 1:30 P.M. One of the events planned is for different teams of players to play the “All Star line up from the Gulf Coast Region” and you're invited to participate.

It is more important than ever that this event be a success financially. Mobile County made cuts to funding for non-profits this year, resulting in a cut of $42,333 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama. Over the past few years, the organization has also experienced continuing funding reductions in excess of 40% by both the City of Mobile and the United Way, as they have other non-profits.
