About Prodisee Pantry:
Who is Prodisee Pantry? Prodisee Pantry is a non-profit community ministry providing emergency food and large-scale regional disaster relief. In the nine years since The Pantry opened 53,345 families in Baldwin County facing tough times have received food and warm smiles. That’s over 137,300 individuals.  Prodisee Pantry is the largest emergency food provider in Baldwin County serving 1,000 families each month.

Bringing hope by feeding physical, emotional and spiritual hunger is what pantry volunteers do each week.  In 2012, 343 tons of healthy foods were distributed.  Gleaning and community food drives provided 198,000 pounds in 2012.  Currently, Prodisee Pantry is spending an average of $20 per family to give $120 worth of groceries.  That is $5,000 a week or $20,000 a month to purchase tons of nutritious food including fresh produce, canned fruits and vegetables, canned and frozen meats, milk, cereal and other items.  Prodisee Pantry will use the requested funds to  purchase healthy foods at reduced costs from the USDA's Emergency Assistance Program, local farmers and wholesalers.
The Pantry is an integral part of the social service safety net in Baldwin County.  Providing food to single moms, unemployed and under-employed households, families in transition, homeless, and grandparents raising grandchildren is always deemed an emergency.  Prodisee Pantry is seeing a new face of hunger.  Many of our clients are working middle class who are facing foreclosure or other financial crisis.  Many say they never thought they would ever have to ask for help. We offer our services each Tuesday from  9 to 11:30 a.m.  and by appointment on other days.

In addition to our weekly emergency food program, Prodisee Pantry is committed to disaster relief.
We have a relationship with the Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency, developed the I-10 Disaster Co-op of churches and other volunteer groups, will assist Volunteer Organizations Assisting in Disasters, and currently sit ready to respond with food should a disaster strike.  Following Hurricane Katrina, The Pantry sent out more than 16,000 emergency food boxes and other relief supplies valued in the millions all along the Gulf Coast.

Prodisee Pantry’s dual function as a weekly emergency food program and large-scale disaster relief operation are counted upon by communities along the Southwestern Alabama Gulf Coast.
Mission & Vision: Prodisee Pantry is a community ministry that brings hope by feeding physical, emotional and spiritual hunger.  Our mission is simply based on the scripture, "I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me." Matthew 25:35

Our vision as a community ministry is providing love, hope and comfort to Baldwin County families in crisis through emergency food, regional disaster relief and coordination with supportive program.
