About the Restaurant:
Spicy as its name applies, Saucy Q is owned by barbecue aficionado, Elbert Wingfield, an Alabama native. Elbert says when he started this business his family--Jacquelyn, Jarret, and Darnell--had three things in mind as to what a customer wants: GOOD SERVICE, A GOOD ATTITUDE and GOOD FOOD, and we provide all three of these aspects and more.

We love our customers; they are the reason we enjoy making THE BEST BARBECUE in ALABAMA. When we started this business in 1990, we started at the Fleamarket on Airport Boulevard and Cody Road, and we had a big Barbecue cookout to send the troops off to Desert Storm; everyone loved our Barbecue. I got the opportunity to go to Florida and open a restaurant at the Blue Horizon Hotel, that’s where the Saucy Q name took root.
