Apple plans to hold a special press event on October 23 to unveil its iPad Mini but no date has been given as to when this device would go on sale. Rumors have been swirling for months that Apple is planning to launch a smaller iPad. This device would be going head-to-head with Google's Nexus 7 and Amazon's Kindle Fire. Both of those devices come with smaller displays and are notably cheaper. Prices for the iPad mini are rumored to be the same as each of those products.
