MOBILE, Ala. - If you're looking for something festive to do this weekend, there will be a live Nativity and you can see it all from the warmth of your car.
Kingswood United Methodist Church in Mobile is hosting a drive-through Nativity. Audrey Bryan from Kingswood says this is the 19th year Kingswood Church has hosted the Nativity.
The Nativity will be Saturday night from 5:30 - 7:30pm. The Nativity scene begins at Demetropolis and Perin Road with a display of the wise-men preparing for their journey to Bethlehem.
As you continue to drive, there will be story-boards that tell the story of Christ from the Gospel of Luke. As you get closer to the church, the Nativity takes you to the city of Bethlehem.
From there, you will move on to see angels singing before the manger scene. The whole process takes about 15 - 20 minutes depending on traffic.
Audrey Bryan says Kingswood got the idea after a friend saw something similar in Pensacola. She says the idea has really taken off since it began 19 years ago.
