MOBILE, Ala. - The American Red Cross has launched its official Tornado App . The app puts lifesaving information right in the hands of people who live in, visit, or have loved ones in tornado-prone areas.
Users have instant access to local and real-time information, so they know what to do before, during, and after a tornado. It comes with a high-pitched siren and a tornado warning alert that signals a tornado warning, even if the app is closed.
It also comes with a one-touch "I'm safe" message that lets people reassure family that they are out of harms way. It's a free app available for iPhone, iPad, and Android.

You can customize the app to automatically perform a basic task like merging duplicate contacts, and deleting expired deal emails. You can also use the app to trigger an alert when you have to leave for a meeting, get the free app of the week, or automatically download the new singe of the week.
