When you apply for a job interview, there are a number of things you should keep in mind. The first thing you should remember is to dress the part for the job you are seeking. In many cases, a woman should wear a nice dress, or a suit. Men should wear a button down shirt and tie, or a suit.

The professionals at Express Employment Professionals can help you decide what you should wear to an interview. They can also answer any other questions you have as you prepare for your interview, including interview tips and how to keep your job.

Some tips you will find on their website include:

  • Networking is an invaluable skill that comes with time and produces countless benefits.
  • Set goals. The goal setting process allows you to consider all that you want and need in life and requires thought on how to achieve it all.
  • Follow the Leaders. Each industry has established leaders who have paved the way. Look to those leaders in your chosen field and follow their example.

Express Employment Professionals also offers online training if you need to brush up on any skills that would help make yourself stand out in the applicant pool. You can see more of their tips online at http://blog.expresspros.com .

There is also advice for employers. They have a blog for business leaders set up at http://www.refreshleadership.com
titled “Refresh Leadership”.

You can also take part in different learning events throughout the year. In May, there will be an event at the Convention Center called “Refresh Leadership Live Simulcast” featuring Ken Blanchard, Walter Bond and Peyton Manning. It will be May 18, from 7:30am - 12:00pm. You can register at www.refreshleadership.com/Live .

Leadership isn’t a skill you pick up overnight. It’s a skill that must be developed over the course of a career through experience, continual learning, and collaboration. That’s the inspiration behind the Refresh Leadership Live Simulcast. If you’re a business leader at your company and you would like more information about this event, you can call Claire Bolton at Express Employment Professionals at 251-476-8210.
