MOBILE, Ala. - Google steps things up in the laptop market with it's new "Chromebook Pixel" debut. It went on sale Thursday.
It's pretty sleek with it's touch screen technology, enhanced cloud computing and a built in cell network. $1,300 is the starting price for the 'Wi-Fi only' models. The LTE version will cost you $1,450.
Google's "Chromebook Pixel" is designed to bring on the competition with laptops by Apple and Microsoft.
Hewlett-Packard releases its "Slate 7" hoping to raise sagging computer sales. Some of its features include the ability to talk to printers and the Google Android operating system.
The $169 tablet hits stores in April.
