William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” is coming to the Playhouse in the Park in Mobile.
The production of the timeless story of star-crossed lovers features full period sets and costumes, with a cast of 35 youths from Mobile and Baldwin counties. It has been edited to 75 minutes and is appropriate for ages 12 and up. For students, it’s a chance to see one of the world’s greatest playwrights' story come to life. For adults, “Romeo and Juliet” is a classic story that spans generations and never loses its appeal.
The shows are Friday, March 8 th and Saturday, March 9 th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and senior citizens. There’s also a special show for senior citizens on Tuesday, March 12th at 11:00 a.m. Tickets to that show are $8. Playhouse in the Park is located at 4851 Museum Drive.
