MOBILE, Ala. - The Obama Administration wants to make it easier for cell phone users to change networks.
The White House believes smart phone and tablet users should be allowed to unlock their phones and use the devices on the network of their choosing.
The administration feels people should be allowed to unlock their phones without civil or criminal penalties, especially if the phones were purchased secondhand or as gifts. That also goes for tablets. The White House will work with the FCC to address the issue.
You've probably heard the advertising slogan, "There's an app for that." Well, there are now a *lot* of apps, and sales of those mobile phone games and programs are expected to hit $25 billion this year. Smart phone sales are expected to pass "feature" phone sales for the first time this year.
Apple and Google now have more than 700-thousand apps in their online stores.
The iPhone dating app, ' Let's Date ', has upgraded allowing friends to recommend dates to each other. If a user spots someone who may be good for a friend, they can share that person's dater card through messaging or email.
Those who don't want to date, but enjoy making recommendations, can set their account to "Wingman".
"Let's Date" will track the success of your recommendations, and if they lead to real dates, you'll have access to newer dater cards before other users.
That's your Daily Tech.
