MOBILE, Ala. - Apple says the smaller version of it's iMac desktop computers will go on sale Friday. That version has a twenty-one and a half inch screen. The larger twenty-seven inch screen version won't ship until next month, but orders can be placed now. Pricing starts at $1,800.

The smaller version's price starts at $1,300. Both versions display computer components on the back of a large LCD screen. There's no disk drive, so the edges are one-fifth the thickness of the old model iMac.

The music streaming app, Rdio made updates yesterday to it's Android and IOS apps. Now the app has a cleaner layout, and if users are streaming from more than one device, they have the ability to pick up playing a track from where they left off, in between devices thanks to the new "remote control" feature.

The app IS available in the iTunes app store, and on Google Play.

Do you know what your friends are up to this weekend? If you have an Android, the UpTo app that IOS users have had since March is now available to you. It's an app that allows you to make your calendar social.

Friends can subscribe to each other's calendar, and UpTo will even suggest businesses to follow to keep up with  their upcoming events.

It's a free app, and the UpTo staff says they're working on a feature that allows businesses and users to create separate streams from their own calendars that should be available early next year

That's your Daily Tech.
