Until now, Spotify had charged people $10 per month to use the mobile app. But now the service will be free - but like TV and other forms of "free" media, the service comes with audio ads. If you want an ad-free experience, you can pony up for a paid subscription. The paid version of the service lets you dump the ads - and lets you choose what songs you want to hear, instead of listening to whatever the server churns out. This app is currently only available for iPhones and iPads.
