Meet Cherish Lombard:

If you watch Studio 10, I can’t tell you much about me that you don’t know already know. My life is pretty much an open book…that kind you can laugh with, or at, depending on the circumstances.

But for all you first-timers, here’s a little about me...

A girl never tells how much she weighs, but please keep in mind when watching Studio 10, that the camera really does add 10lbs.

I’m a massive 5’3, and I wish I had a quarter for every time someone tells me, “You look so much taller on T.V.” If I really did collect those quarters, (which I might start doing) I could start my own Animal Rescue Shelter.

Which brings me to something else you will soon learn about me if you haven’t watched Studio 10 yet…And why haven’t you watched yet? It’s really funny! And informative! I digress…and this won’t be the last time I do…believe me!

There is a really good possibility that I might be the biggest animal lover ever. My fiancée says he’ll change the locks if I pick up any more dogs off the side of the road and bring them home. I guess 5 is our limit…for now. Some people collect shoes, some collect jewelry, some even collect those little spoons with states on them that you get from the gas stations in the middle of nowhere when you go on vacation…I collect dogs. I don’t have cats because I’m allergic to them. I get that question a lot so I figured I would go ahead and clear that up for you.

I was born in Mobile, and only left for a year, when I moved to L.A. (no, that is not lower Alabama) Los Angeles is really cut-throat, but I learned a lot there. Like how to balance trays of food on four fingers. I also learned I’m not very good at it. I learned that it’s really not motivational for gyms to make you pay for valet every time you work out—okay, you’re making me pay for a gym membership, and you’re making me pay to park my car on top of that? I also learned to really appreciate the Gulf Coast, and quickly learned that I wanted to move back home, and never leave again.

So, I clicked my Ruby Red Slippers together and here I am. I’ve been a News Reporter at Fox 10 since 2008 and I’ve loved every moment of it. I graduated from South Alabama (Go Jags!) after I graduated from Murphy (Go Panthers!) I started working in radio at WABB in 2001, and I was bitten by “the bug” as we call it in media. I’m excited about Studio 10 and all the fun and possibilities that come with it. You never know where you’ll see me next, but make sure you say “Hi” when you do. If can’t wait that long, and there’s anything else you want to know about me, send me an email at cherish.lombard@fox10tv.com .

Be sure to watch Studio 10, weekdays from 8-9am on Fox 10!

Meet Joe Emer:

I have the best of two worlds! Weekday mornings I get to chat it up about the latest in entertainment and what’s happening on the Gulf Coast on our groundbreaking show, “Studio Ten”. During football season, you’ll see me co-hosting our high school football show “First and Ten”, and covering the Tide and Tigers! Sports and entertainment year ‘round… you can’t beat that!

On that theme, I’ve had the chance to experience two different worlds in my personal life. I spent my first 20 some years in the Midwest. I grew up in Wisconsin (Go Brewers! Go Packers!) and graduated from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. I love the people in the Midwest. I love the city of Milwaukee in the summer. But, after too many brutal winters it was time for a change!

In April, 2007, I moved from WAOW-TV in frigid Wausau, WI to Fox Ten here in Mobile. The Gulf Coast is awesome! I love it! I’ve been to BayFest, BeerFest, Strawberry Fest, Chocolate Fest… just about any-fest, you name it, I’ve been there. Golf on the Gulf is fantastic! I’ve played at least 30 different courses in our viewing area from Destin to Biloxi. I’ve also tried my hand at deep sea fishing. So far my prized catch is a 4-foot long King Mackerel. I think it weighed nearly 20 pounds. Maybe 30. Probably close to 40 pounds. Did I tell you about the 6 foot, 50 pound King Mackerel I caught?

Living on the Gulf Coast has been a thrill a minute and we hope to share many more of those thrills with you on Fox Ten! That’s where you come in! If you have a story idea for “Studio Ten” give me a call or shoot me an e-mail. We are always looking for new, exciting things happening in the area. Until then… “Roll Tide”, “War Eagle”, and we hope you’ll join us in the mornings!
