MOBILE, Ala. - If you love price matching, I have a deal for you! Target says they will match their online competition all year long. What started as a Christmas customer grabber is turning into a year-round trend.
Target announced yesterday that shoppers in stores can match prices from online retailers including Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy and Toys-R-Us. Retailers use price matching practice to attract holiday shoppers, but Target is the first company to try it all year long.
Apple looks to be working on a cheaper iPhone. That could hit the market this year. The shell will reportedly be made with less expensive materials, and some parts could be recycled from older iPhones.
A new Facebook app claims to be able to help you pinpoint who gave you the flu. The "Help, I have the flu" app page, has a message that says "Hello. I'm sorry you have the flu. Nothing will make you feel better like finding somebody to blame." Then, the app analyzes your friend's posts looking for comments about being sick, going to the hospital, or coughing.
Afterwards, the app will give you the "prime suspect". If you believe they did make you sick, it suggests having them quarantined...or forgive and send them some help.
That's your Daily Tech.
(Don't forget, today from noon until 2, I'm giving out free Zero Dark Thirty passes at Furniture Fair on Azalea Rd.)
