Rumors of iPad 2 surface

Rumors are going wild in the tech world that the iPad 2 may be on its way to store shelves very soon. Apple is supposed to hold a media event next week on March 2 to unveil the next generation iPad.

The iPad 2 is expected to be thinner and lighter than the original iPad with a faster processor, a camera for face-time video chat and the capabilities to allow playback of high definition video. Those are just a few of the details.

Apple is being very quiet about the full list of features that will be on the iPad 2.

The first iPad was introduced in January 2010 and for the calendar year of 2010 sales were estimated at around 15 million units.
