Closings: Bankhead Tunnel

    Alabama Department of Transportation says the Bankhead Tunnel will close at noon Tuesday, August 28.

    The tunnel will remain closed until Tropical Storm Isaac’s impacts have subsided in the Mobile area. The storm is expected to reach hurricane strength within the next 12 hours.
