Ingalls closed to most employees

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (ALA) - All Ingalls Shipbuilding Gulf Coast facilities – Pascagoula, Gulfport and Avondale, La. – are closed, except for the following personnel, until Tuesday morning, Sept. 4.

In Pascagoula, employees on the damage assessment team Alpha should report at first shift on Friday, Aug. 31. In Gulfport, employees working on damage assessment teams Alpha, Beta and Gamma, along with all production control, rigging and transportation personnel, should report at first shift Friday.

At Avondale, only personnel contacted by their supervisor should report to work Friday if it is safe to do so. All other salaried and non-salaried employees should not report to work until Tuesday, Sept. 4.
