BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WALA) - The Baldwin County EMA has partnered with all local county and municipal law enforcement to begin a new Hispanic Hurricane Preparedness Outreach Initiative in Baldwin County.

The Baldwin County Commission, Baldwin County EMA and Local Law Enforcement began the new Hispanic Preparedness Outreach Initiative with a news conference Tuesday morning before the Baldwin County Commission meeting.

The Baldwin County Hispanic Hurricane Preparedness Outreach Initiative was created to help reach the Hispanic Community in Baldwin County through outlets and areas they trust to provide them with first- hand, accurate, preparedness materials and to help eliminate the fear of seeking shelter and emergency assistance before, during and after a disaster.

The three tiers of outreach information being communicated to the Hispanic Community will be Sheltering in Place, Going to a Shelter and Evacuation.
