HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (CNN) - They rolled out the red carpet Tuesday for actor John Cusack. He received his star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

The honor comes just three days before the release of his latest film, "The Raven."

During the induction, Cusack's friends Jack Black, Dan Aykroyd and Billy Bob Thornton praised his work.
His sister, Joan Cusack was also there.

Cusack has been acting for nearly 30 years, starting out in the '80s with such films as "Sixteen Candles," "Better Off Dead," and "Say Anything."
