LINYI, China (CNN/CCTV) - Cars in a wedding caravan had a scary near-death experience Monday after a bridge collapsed beneath them.
Torrential rains pounded the Chinese city of Linyi. Emergency crews used rope to slide down the broken bridge to reach the party. But the rescue was complicated by a mudslide.
A driver stuck in one of the crashed cars was the only one injured.
A doctor told CCTV the victim's injuries were not life-threatening.
Chinese officials say parts of the country are enduring the heaviest rains in six decades.
