NEW YORK (AP) - A New York City official says "many hundreds" of students are sick at school hit by a swine flu outbreak.

Health Commissioner Thomas Frieden said Tuesday that the cases are not confirmed as swine flu. But the students have the same symptoms as the confirmed cases.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg says two people have been hospitalized with suspected cases. Those are separate from the school outbreak.

The mayor says the hospitalized are a child in the Bronx and an adult in Brooklyn.

The mayor also says authorities are investigating possible cases at a special education school in Queens.
