$3 million drug bust in Central Texas

Officials seized 2,000 pot plants from property

FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - Fayette County Sheriff's deputies seized 2,000 marijuana plants from a 55-acre property at 14650 North SH 95 on Sunday.

The plants and a large amount of packaged marijuana that was ready for transport are worth an estimated $3 million on the street.

Officials detained Luis Arsate, 39, in the drug bust. He is from Houston.

Texas Parks and Wildlife , Department of Public Safety , the Lower Colorado River Authority , Fayette County Constables Office and the Muldoon Fire Department assisted in the bust.
