Woman finds brother on Craigslist

LEVELLAND, Texas (CNN/KCBD/CHEK) - On Friday morning, with no expectations, Lori MacInturff typed out these words on the Craigslist website: "I have a full blood brother named Matthew David Beaumont. He would be 48 now. I don't know if he knows I exist."

MacInturff believed Beaumont lived in British Columbia, but had no idea exactly where. So she just picked one of the towns on the website. Fate would have it that she picked the right one.

"Two hours later I got an email from him. I opened my email. I saw that. I called my husband I said 'Oh my God I got an email from my brother, this is crazy,'" said MacInturff.

The brother and sister quickly set up Skype and laid eyes on each other for the first time. Before the email, Beaumont didn't even know his sister existed. She was put up for adoption when she was just a baby. MacInturff discovered she had a brother during a search for her biological parents.

"Emotions are very high. We're still, we're still trying to wrap our heads around everything," said Beaumont. "The void in our hearts that we had felt for the last 48 years was filled in that moment."

"It's a total one in a million chance. You know, this is the stuff you see on Oprah," said MacInturff.

They're so happy at finding out about their relationship, Beaumont says he will be moving to Texas to be closer to his sister and his new family.
