Sinkhole reroutes traffic on Fillingim

Traffic has been rerouted on Fillingim Street in Mobile until a sinkhole can be repaired. The hole, caused by a water main break, is approximately 10 feet deep and three feet wide.

If you've ever driven across the Bayway you know how bad traffic can be, especially during rush hour. The main culprits are the tunnels which is where traffic really slows. down. Mobile leaders say the answer to the traffic problem is a connector bridge project which will be six-lanes and cost $600 million.

Ambulance fire: traffic backed up

An ambulance caught on fire on I-65 south around the Moffett Rd. exit. The fire is now out but traffic was backed up at least to the Prichard area Friday evening. One witness said he heard truckers on his CB saying it looks like a motor fire. The witness also said the ambulance had a patient that they moved to a second vehicle.
