Johnson Beach ceremony to honor hero

A ceremony will be held on May 4 at Johnson Beach in Perdido Key to honor the first African-American from the Pensacola area to die in the Korean War. Private Rosamond Johnson, Jr. was 17-years-old when he was killed on July 26, 1950. He had just carried two wounded men to safety under enemy fire and was killed going back to help a third comrade.

New rules for Ft. Pickens fishing pier

Motorcyclists hurt in Pensacola crash
